On April 22, 2003 Jimmy and the Coral Reefers performed at the Smirnoff Music Center in Dallas, Texas. As usual, the crowd was pretty wild, but this year seemed a little more so than what passes for normal. If you've never been to see Bubba, then you just gotta get out more. There's no describing it. By 2:00 in the afternoon, still 6 hours before the concert, the crowd was already rocking. As usual, some people failed to pace themselves. While they had a really good time, they missed the main event.
To give the uninitiated the full frontal effect of a Jimmy Buffett concert, and so the phaithful can relive their own experiences, I am posting these pictures. For the benefit of our bandwidth impaired friends, and those who just don't have a lot of spare time on their hands, let me point out that the first 2 pages of concert photos were taken with a low-res camera at 640 X 480 resolution. Some of them are pretty good, some not so good. You make the call. But you may want to cut directly to the chase and go for the hi-res photos on the other pages. All other photos were taken with a 3.2 mega-pixel camera at 1600 X 1200 resolution, but have been cropped and resized to 800 X 600 for best results and faster load times.
Start your tour with decorating the truck. Then check out the tailgating pictures of the mayor and his entourage. Be sure to check out the mass of parrotheads phlocking to bask in the radiance of their leader. And whatever you do, don't forget to leave time to enjoy the many concert pictures. They always remind me of how good it was, and how great it will be next time. So if you have never yet had the experience, do yourself a favor and get out to see Jimmy live. Accept no substitutes!
