MGM Grand

The MGM Grand is the largest single hotel in the world, containing over 5,700 rooms.  Truly, the place is huge.  You need a map just to find your way around the casino.  From the golden lion out front to the sports book waaaaaaaaaaay in the back, this is a very classy joint.  The place has more shops, restaurants, clubs and theatres than you can see in a week.  But it's more than that.  You can't quite put your finger on it.  You almost get the feeling Rhett Butler & Scarlett O'Hara might just come waltzing around the next corner.  Or maybe Bogey & Bacall.  So just relax and enjoy schweetheart.

We were there the week President Reagan died.  I don't know for sure, but I'm guessing this may be the first time Ronnie ever shared a marquee with Tabu'.

We were fortunate enough to see Drew Carey and the Improv All Stars. They were great.  And yes, the guy in the middle wearing the blue jacket is Joe Walsh.  Not only did he play several of his songs, including Rocky Mountain Way and Life's Been Good, but he also performed improv comedy!  It was perhaps the best show I have ever seen.  The final comedy skit was performed by Drew and the curly headed fellow standing on his immediate left, whose name I forget.  The unique part of this skit was that they performed it blindfolded while walking around barefoot in the midst of 100 set and ready to spring mousetraps!  Sounds painful doesn't it?  But it was just way toooooooooooo funny!  For more pictures click on the thumbnails below.
