Fairfield Grand Desert
The Fairfield Grand Desert Resort is part of the Fairfield Family of Timeshares. We have been satisfied owners since 1996. In those 8 years, we have only gone back to one place. Mazatlan. For more on Mazatlan and the beautiful El Cid Resort, check here and here and here. The Grand Desert sets east of the strip about halfway between the Aladdin and the Hard Rock on Harmon Street. The grounds are beautiful, clean, and offer numerous nooks and crannies for private relaxation. Most of the rooms have great views of at least a portion of the strip: ours had a great view of The Strip, all the way from Mandalay Bay to The Stratosphere. The rooms are spacious and have complete kitchens: not that we ever used ours. We even had a huge whirlpool tub in our room. The place has 2 pools and 3 outdoor hot tubs: one each for adults only, as well as a health spa. There is also a small convenience type store as well as a small food stand. And to top it all off, a complimentary shuttle bus leaves for Harrah's every 15 minutes all day long until midnight. But the best part about the Grand Desert Resort is NO CASINO! There is not even a slot machine. This means the Grand Desert is about the quietest place in town. Definitely built for comfort, not for speed.
Balloon Clown Elvis. You should see the incredible balloon creations this guy makes.

These thumbnails and the picture below were taken out of the picture windows in the front room and bedrooms of our condo at Fairfield. The view was so spectacular, it was all I could do to drag myself away from it and head for The Strip.
