El Faro Lighthouse
The climb to El Faro can be strenuous, especially with the temperature and humidity in the 90's and no wind. There is a stand at the bottom and each person should buy the largest bottle of cold water they sell. The first third of the climb is a series of switchbacks on dirt trails. But the remaining two-thirds are concrete steps. By the time we reached the top, we had sweat through all of our clothing, including our hats. Thank God for the guy with the cooler of cold water and beverages at the top. I don't think we would have made it down without him! But the view was stunning and well worth the effort as you will see.
